RAMESWARAM
Ramanathaswamy Temple (Rāmanātasvāmi Kōyil) is a Hindu temple dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva located on Rameswaram island in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It is also one of the twelve Jyotirlinga temples. It is one of the 275 Paadal Petra Sthalams, where Nayanars (Saivite saints), Appar, Sundarar and Tirugnana Sambandar, have glorified the temple with their songs. The Lingam of Ramanathaswamy (Shiva), was established and worshiped by Shri Rama, before he crossed his bridge to the present-day island of Sri Lanka. It is one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites. The temple was expanded during the 12th century by the Pandya Dynasty, and its principal shrine’s sanctum was renovated by Jeyaveera Cinkaiariyan and his successor Gunaveera Cinkaiariyan, monarchs of the Jaffna kingdom. The temple has the longest corridor among all Hindu temples in India. It was built by King Muthuramalinga Sethupathiy.[1][2] The temple, located in Rameswaram, is considered a holy pilgrimage site for Shaivites, Vaishnavites and Smarthas.
KANYAKUMARI
Kanyakumari has got a great deal of recognition to its name that the district is regarded as the most literate district in the southern state of Tamil Nadu. Besides, the district is considered as the second most urbanized territory in the southern state, succeeding only to Chennai and second most prominent zone in the state of Tamil Nadu in terms of population density. Kanyakumari district boasts singular and wide-ranging natural features with ocean on three sides and the mounts of the Western Ghats abutting the northerly face.The temple and the town are considered a holy pilgrimage site for Shaivas and Vaishnavas.
SRISAILAM
Srisailam has great ancient significance. With great significance since many eras, Srisailam where Sri Bhramarambika Devi-Mallikarjuna Swamy reside has been a worshipping place for mmillions of devotees over thousands of years. History is always told through books or through stories of various dynasties. If one looks at dynastic prevalence, one would find inscriptional evidence from South India's first dynasty, the Satavahanas at Srisailam. Satakarni who was the third of the Satavahana kings was also an ardent devotee of Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy and was popular for naming himself as Mallanna.There is a mention of Srisailam in ancient scriptures belonging to the 3rd century C.E. Satakarni in scriptures describing lands under his rule mentioned Srisailam as Chakora Shetagiri. Post the Satavahanas, the Ikshvaku dynasty ruled Andhra. Although these rulers no more exist to tell the tale, it is fair to say that they considered Srisailam as a holy destination. In the 6th century C.E, Kadamba king Mayura Sharma addressed Srisailam as Sriparvatam. A kind called Bruhaddhana with the help of Kadamba's won over then rulers, the Pallava dynasty to conquer and rule over the land. They unified Sriparvatam along with the land they won over. In the dynasty of Badami Chalukyas, the ruler Pulakeshi constructed many temples and known to be the king of temples. He was known to be the first Kshatriya to have performed Shiva Deeksha.
RAMESWARAM , KANYKUMARI AND SRISAILAM TOUR ( 4 NIGHT 5 DAYS)
DAY 1 : Arrive Madurai airport at afternoon.Pick up from airport byreserved car andtransfer toRameswaram ( 3.5 hrs journey). Check in hotel and overnight stay in hotel.
DAY 2 : At early morning visit Ramanathaswamy Temple, the twelve Jyotirlinga Temple for puja then back to hotel.After breakfast enjoy local sightseeing , visit kalam Foundation visit Dhanuskoti Temple within 4 pm Ramar Patham , a temple dedicated to the foot print of Rama. Visit Kunthukal beach, located on the bank of the Gulf of Mannar. Vilondi Teertham ( sweet water well) then back to hotel.Evening free for your own. Night stay at hotel.
DAY 3 : After early breakfast check out and transfer to Kanyakumai. On arrival Kanyakumari visit Vivekananda Rock and local sightseeing ( Kanyakumari city tour).Night stay at hotel.
DAY 4 : After early breakfast check out and proceed to Srisailam.On arrival visit The temple at Srisailam , pathala Ganga Walk way, Sri Bhramaramba devi Temple then back to hotel. Overnight stay in hotel.
DAY 5 : After breakfast check out at hotel and drop airport.
